Nope, Payee do not require to have bank account in same bank. The only thing important is that, the name is exactly same on the account.</description>

When you give cheque to somebody, the person accepting cheque has to sign on back. On otherhand, if it is a self cheque (you use it for your own needs)
you have to sign in the back.
