		<description>A self cheque is also a  bearer cheque which means that any one can encash that cheque even if it is not signed  at the back by the  person who issued the self cheque in the first place.  
In my view, as long it is a bearer cheque, self or otherwise, it should be honored even if it does not have the cheque owners signature at the back. The person encashing the cheque at the bank will of course sign the cheque at the back and may have to give identity proof.
Pl let me know the official position.
